Who We Are & What We Do

Fertile started as a community settlement in 1972. It was one of the first reforestation communities in Auroville.

 

During the first 10 years the main focus was reforestation. It has now evolved into an access center where any form of creativity is encouraged. As a community we wish to facilitate learning that benefits self-sufficiency.

 

Our goal is to encourage in youth the confidence and manual skills, where necessary, to be undaunted by the prospect of any physical, mental or spiritual endeavor/challenge.
